What makes a toy a good toy?
Our products are not only attractively designed but children also find them fun to play with. That’s why HABA products keep the interest of generation after generation. Our quality and production standard ensures that our products remain timeless.
We are always on the look-out for new types of products and materials. We do however put a premium on materials that can be manufactured on an ecologically beneficial basis. We use primarily indigenous maple and beech wood and water-based paints for our toys. We also use fabric, felt, leather, cardboard and glass.
Everyone can talk about quality. The HABA family of firms can prove its quality with tests and certificates: HABA, JAKO-O and Wehrfritz are certified under DIN EN ISO 9001. This proves that we have successfully introduced a quality assurance system and that we apply it consistently. The system includes all processes within our company and affects product development, purchasing, production and assembly as well as marketing.
Without fail, we always pay attention to careful selection and processing of all Materials. That is why all materials used are subject to continuous controls. Naturally, we also have our products tested for adherence to all guidelines by authorised, independent institutions.
In addition, active environmental protection is a central component of our firm’s policy. In our timber production, we pay close attention to a sustainable use of raw materials. Since 2010 we have borne the PEFC seal, which proves that we use timber from sustainable forestry in German forests. HABA takes its responsibilities towards the environment seriously. We were the first toy and furniture manufacturer in Germany that underwent an environmental audit and since then we have supported continual environmental management under DIN ISO 14001.
